A red double-decker bus streaks past ornate buildings on a wet London night, its lights drawn into long trails.
What you hear
Rain on the window glass, with the low hum of the city and a clock bell chiming the hour. Raise the Storm slider for lightning, then listen for the thunder: the further the strike, the longer the wait and the deeper the rumble. Nothing here is a recording on repeat. Every drop is made live in your browser, so the sound never loops.
Good for
Reading and writing with a cup of tea.
How to use it
- Press Begin listening. Headphones make the biggest difference.
- Move the Rain slider from a light drizzle to a downpour, and Storm for thunder.
- Drag across the glass to wipe the fog. Hold still to breathe on it, then write in it.
- Set Fade out to 15, 30 or 60 minutes if you want to fall asleep to it.
